From a family adventure to our own private safari reserve

Our journey toward Lamai Safari began in 2011 when we visited wonderful South Africa for the first time as a family. We traveled through several of the country's fantastic regions, but it was especially the northern part around Kruger National Park that captured our hearts.

When we returned home, our infatuation did not fade – on the contrary, it grew into a profound passion. A passion for the majestic nature, the impressive wildlife, and the rich, diverse culture. Soon after, this passion turned into a dream that we brought to life, and today we are proud to welcome you to our home in the heart of the African bush.

Our privately owned section of the Greater Kruger area spans nearly 10,000 hectares and is openly connected to Kruger National Park. This is where our dream began – and since our inception, we have welcomed more lodges and areas into our portfolio, allowing us to offer Big 5 safaris across multiple vast reserves in the renowned Kruger Region to our loyal guests. Our reserves are a sanctuary for Africa's wildlife, including The Big 5, offering an authentic safari experience for true nature enthusiasts.
